Quality Control Field Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Field Technician to join our team. The QC/Technician will be responsible for documenting the installation process on a job site, following company and project specifications. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and security.

Key Responsibilities

– Watch and carefully record the installation process at a job site following company and project guidelines.
– Conduct quality control (QC) testing, like checking welded seams using tests such as air, vacuum, air lance, and spark tests.
– Record test results, calculate the installed material area daily, and the length of seams, specifying who did the test and where.
– Identify and report any test failures, arrange for repairs, and document the completed fix.
– Fill out QC paperwork promptly, ideally before the project ends or before the next liner layer is applied.
– Prioritize tasks to finish QC testing and paperwork on time and according to standards.
– Use GPS surveying tools to note locations at job sites and enter data accurately.
– Create drawings showing the layout of panels, repairs, seams, and other details.
– Manage geosynthetic materials, including storage, distribution, and installation.
– Quickly communicate QC problems to team members and supervisors.
– Meet or beat customer deadlines and provide top-notch results.
– Prioritize safety and quality in all tasks.
– Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized.
– Strive to improve efficiency and accuracy continually.
– Be willing to travel as required.
– Work well with others as a team.
– Get approval from your supervisor for daily overtime or weekend work.

Qualifications

– Proficiency in using electronic devices and computer software for data entry.
– Preferred ability to read engineered drawings.
– Knowledge of geosynthetics installation methods and quality control procedures.
– Organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, and meet deadlines.
– High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of relevant experience or training; or a similar combination of education and experience.
– Willingness to perform other duties and special tasks as directed by supervisors.
